MATERI’ACT, PULSALYS and LINKSIUM raise awareness among startups on Life Cycle Assessment for truly sustainable materials

On June 27, 2025, MATERI’ACT hosted a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) awareness workshop at its innovation hub, in partnership with PULSALYS and LINKSIUM, the regional Technology Transfer Acceleration Companies (SATT). The session brought together around a dozen participants, including deeptech startups supported by the two SATTs as well as SATT project managers, who joined to strengthen their understanding of LCA and better integrate it into their support strategies.

Through concrete examples, interactive discussions and practical insights, MATERI’ACT’s teams demonstrated how LCA can be used to measure the carbon footprint of a material or process—from sourcing to end-of-life. The workshop gave participants the tools to identify levers for reducing their environmental impact and to assess the value of deeper technical and strategic support.

This event is part of a broader partnership between MATERI’ACT, PULSALYS and LINKSIUM aimed at building a regional innovation ecosystem dedicated to sustainable materials. Further initiatives are planned, including a circular economy networking event to come.
