MATERI’ACT snaps up 6.3 M€ funding to develop materials with up to 100% recycled content and support the French government’s France 2030 strategy.

The teams at MATERI’ACT were delighted to get 6.3 M€ of French government funding as part of the MATURE project: MATériaux dURables pour l’automobilE, or Sustainable Materials for Automotive.

The aim? Develop high-performance recycled and biosourced materials that are lighter and have a lower environmental impact – including full recyclability. Just the kind of materials they are already working on!

As part of MATURE, MATERI’ACT will add extra momentum to the automotive industry’s ecological transition and the growing need (and desire) for cleaner, more circular technologies. By prioritising both sustainability and performance, the project aims to reinforce France’s position as a sustainable vehicle manufacturer, while also boosting the country’s automotive supply chain.

About France 2030 and CORAM 2024

The project was part of the CORAM 2024 tender organised by French bank Bpifrance to support R&D in the mobility sector. The project will be financed as part of the French government’s France 2030 strategy aimed at tackling environmental and technological challenges, while reinforcing French tech sovereignty.
