Launched in 2021, DECORE was a four-year public-private collaboration between FORVIA (FAS, FIS, MATERI’ACT), CEA, Renault and MTB, aimed at accelerating the development of circular solutions for the automotive industry. The project focused on advanced recycling, sustainable design, and high-performance materials.
For MATERI’ACT, DECORE ends with two major milestones:
– NAFILean-R NP47N, launched on the instrument panel of the new Renault 5
– IniCycled-P VP32M ELV, a world-first using recycled plastics from end-of-life vehicles
During the closing event, MATERI’ACT’s circular approach drew strong interest from key partners including Renault, FORVIA, CEA, and MTB. The event showcased the technical and industrial readiness of our full range of sustainable materials, built around:
– Recycled content from post-consumer and ELV sources
– Bio-based innovation, including the newly revealed NAFILean Vision
– Mono-material solutions designed to preserve recyclability
DECORE also led to two patents, multiple validated compounds and skins, and a strengthened connection between R&D and market-ready innovation.
This project marks a significant step in MATERI’ACT’s mission to design, develop, and industrialize high-performance materials for a more sustainable mobility.
